Annual Street Sweeping Begins September 19

September 14, 2022

Street sweeping for the winter begins Monday, September 19, 2022.

For each address, street sweeping will take place eight times between now and March 17, 2023 and will occur the day after your waste pickup. For example, if your waste pickup day is Thursday, your street will be swept on Fridays. If your pickup day is Friday, your street will be swept on Mondays. In most cases, even numbered addresses and odd numbered addresses will be swept on different weeks*.

Plan ahead to keep curbs clear on street sweeping days

Street sweeping is critical for keeping our storm drains clear during leaf drop season. Please help by moving cars and any other obstacles off the street on street sweeping days. Take these steps to get ready now:

  1. Look up your street sweeping dates on the 2022-23 street sweeping schedule by street name.

  2. Mark your street sweeping dates on a calendar. You can also download and print out a street sweeping calendar for your zone below.

  3. On your street sweeping day, move your vehicle off the street and remove any obstacles blocking access to the curb, including green waste, recycling, and trash cans.

We’ve created a street sweeping email list to help residents stay informed. On weeks when we’re doing street sweeping, we’ll send a reminder email on Sunday listing the zones being swept that week.  Sign up here.
